About Us
Who are Southport Lions? The Club received its Charter in 1962 and, for more than forty years, successive generations of Lions members have been raising funds and supporting local and international causes.
Our Club is made up of thirty men and women (though there is no limit on numbers!) with a very wide range of interests. We enjoy being Lions, partly because we have an active social programme as well as our charitable activities. It is fair to say that while we take our projects seriously, we take a much more relaxed view of ourselves! (Especially when selling raffle tickets!)
Southport Lions Club is a registered Charity, number 512156
Our Club is part of a much larger worldwide organisation, so we define who we are in terms of Zones, and Districts, and so on.
The Lions Clubs of Southport, Crosby, Douglas Valley, Formby, City of Liverpool, Ormskirk & Maghull, and Upholland Tawd Vale, together form a Zone. In fact we are Zone G, of District 105BN.

District 105BN is made up of nine Zones comprising fifty eight separate Lions Clubs. Geographically we are located in the North West of England and the Isle of Man.
District 105BN, together with twelve other Districts, forms Multiple District 105, which covers the British Isles and Ireland.
